The Startup for Media Startup (SMS) program is part of the collaboration between IMS and Suara.com which aims to support local media and small-scale media in Indonesia so that they can continue to grow. The name of this program itself is taken from one of the initial activities in the form of a workshop in early 2022. In this ongoing program, there are several activities including Media Viability workshops, benchmarking, and coaching.
This is a specific program launched in one of the Local Media Summit 2023 sessions in Jakarta, involving some of only a few local and small-scale media (startups) that focus on women. This program, through activities in the form of workshops, as well as collaboration and networking, will involve capacity building for female media managers in developing their audiences, as well as developing the best strategies and action plans to grow.
The media innovation grant program is one of the latest programs, which is planned to be managed and distributed to chosen media based on the selection of innovative programs they submit. Some insights and knowledge regarding program design and its aspects will be shared beforehand with selected media through workshop activities.
